The Chapter explores the multi-faceted work of school boards including the policies and procedures surrounding school board meetings, the Open Meetings Act, and an encapsulation of board member responsibilities, elections, and qualifications. The Chapter further details procedures regarding school district records which range from compliance with the Freedom of Information Act to retention and destruction of such records. Finally, Chapter 2 explores the scope of school property use and addresses policies and procedures specific to charter schools.
