Show Your Work: Franczek Toolkits and Upcoming Webinar to Support Districts’ Compliance

Education General

With the new school year upon us, Franczek P.C. is once again ready to help support your school district teams with responding to student safety concerns and needs that may arise throughout the year. From student discipline and bullying prevention, to residency, curriculum objections, and more, our Franczek Toolkits are developed to help support your administrations’ compliance efforts with ready-to-use and customizable templates and forms.  Available for a flat fee, our toolkits are each designed to provide a step-by-step process to implement your Board’s policies consistent with best practices for documentation.

In addition to the toolkits below, join us on September 3, 2026, at 12:00 pm for a complimentary webinar titled “Show Your Work – Best Practices for Documenting Student-Related Complaints and Investigations,” where we’ll provide key tips and practical guidance on responding to these pressing student issues.

Student Discipline Toolkit

Franczek’s Student Discipline Toolkit includes model suspension notices, model notices for suspension review and expulsion hearings, model student discipline resolutions, and a handy cheat sheet summarizing the Senate Bill 100 standards. Recently updated to incorporate School Code changes related to supports during out-of-school suspensions, this toolkit provides customizable tools designed to help your school administrative teams confidently implement School Code requirements when responding to student misconduct and administering discipline where necessary. For more information on our Student Discipline Toolkit, please fill out this form or contact Kaitlin Atlas at ka@franczek.com.

Bullying Response Resources

Franczek’s Bullying Response Toolkit offers ready-to-use forms for compliance, including the 24-hour notice requirement, an investigation/documentation checklist, interview templates, and final determination notices—available in Word or Google Docs formats. Each toolkit also comes with a corresponding training that walks staff through the triggers for notification, investigation, and remediation —giving your team practical guidance for handling complaints and documenting responses to reduce liability. The training and toolkit are ideal for administrators overseeing bullying response and staff working directly with students and families.

Residency and Homelessness

Franczek’s Residency and Homeless  Toolkit provides a comprehensive, step-by step process to confirm residency and homelessness status, including guidance for determining when an investigation is warranted and to challenge a student’s status when required. Forms address  all types of residency determinations, including notices of non-residency for both enrolled and not yet enrolled students,   and the forms also cover divorced parents, third-party living arrangements, non-parent guardians, and homeless students. Forms can be adapted for electronic registration and are now also  available in Spanish. For more information on the Residency Toolkit, please fill out this  form  or contact Amy Dickerson at akd@franczek.com.

Curriculum Objections

Our Curriculum Objections Toolkit is a great resource to support districts as you receive and process curriculum objections. Our toolkit contains a sample policy, customizable forms and parent notices, and an objection rubric that reflects our recommended best practices for school districts’ internal review and handling of   curriculum objections. For more information on our Curriculum Objections Toolkit please contact Nicki Bazer at nbb@franczek.com, Amy Dickerson at akd@franczek.com, or Dana Fattore Crumley at dfc@franczek.com.

Threat Assessments

Illinois school districts must maintain a threat assessment procedure. Before each school year, this procedure must be file it with local law enforcement and the regional office of education, along with a list of threat assessment team members. Franczek P.C. offers a model procedure that meets State requirements, supports threat assessment teams in preventing targeted school violence, and includes explanatory materials for district-specific customization. For more information, contact Amy Dickerson at akd@franczek.com or Dana Fattore Crumley at dfc@franczek.com.
