New Article Describes 110% Adequacy Referendum Provision That May Reduce Educational Fund Levy

In the Spring 2018 issue of the IASBO UPDATE magazine, Franczek P.C. partner Ares Dalianis discusses the new provision allowing registered voters to place a referendum on the consolidated (or odd-year) ballot seeking a reduction of up to ten percent in the educational fund levy for those school districts above the 110% adequacy threshold. This new provision is part of the sweeping school funding reform legislation approved in the fall of 2017 as Public Act 100-0465.
