Shelli Anderson and Jennifer Smith selected by Crain’s as Notable Women Lawyers

Shelli Anderson and Jennifer Smith have been recognized by Crain’s Chicago Business as 2018 Notable Women Lawyers for their distinguished career in the field of education law.

For over 20 years, Shelli has represented and counseled school districts on issues affecting students, teachers, taxpayers, and citizens. Recently she negotiated a hotly contested labor agreement for one of Illinois’ largest school districts and resolved a highly publicized hazing lawsuit.

Jennifer is at the front lines of today’s high-profile issues in education, investigating and litigating cases involving Illinois’ schools and universities. She is currently litigating two lawsuits involving transgender rights and provides continued counseling to school districts on the evolving legal risks associated with transgender students.
