Illinois School Law Survey (Nineteenth Edition) Available Now

The Nineteenth Edition of the Illinois School Law Survey  authored by David J. Braun and published by the Illinois Association of School Boards (IASB) is now available for purchase exclusively through the IASB Bookstore. The Nineteenth Edition reflects legislation and court decisions through January 1, 2026.

According to IASB,

The Illinois School Law Survey is released every two years and provides practical answers to more than 1,600 school law questions across 27 chapters, over 500 pages, with citations to relevant statutes, administrative rules, and court decisions. The Survey was written to help school board members, administrators, attorneys, and other readers navigate the complex legal issues affecting Illinois public education.

David J. Braun is an attorney and partner at Franczek, P.C., and serves as adjunct faculty in the College of Education in the Educational Administration and Foundations Department at Illinois State University where he teaches School law.
