Overview
Jared’s practice includes counseling K-12 and higher education clients on a variety of education and employment law matters. Prior to joining Franczek, Jared practiced at another school law firm where he advised K-12 clients in all areas of school law.
Jared represents clients in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Illinois Department of Human Rights. His practice involves advising education clients on a variety of matters, including those related to the Freedom of Information Act and Open Meetings Act, special education, contract review, student discipline/rights, and policy development. Jared also has significant experience in advising clients on complaints and administrative charges, including conducting thorough investigations related to claims of harassment and discrimination.
Jared is a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Law, where he served as president of the Education Law and Policy Society and student attorney in the Federal Civil Rights Clinic. While in law school, he interned at the Illinois State Board of Education, Office of General Counsel. Jared received his undergraduate degree from American University in Washington D.C.
