The end of the 2010s brought significant changes in the law governing the use of technology and student privacy in special education. In this engaging session, Jackie presents on how changes to the law will impact your special education technology programs as we move into the new “roaring twenties.” In addition, Jackie addresses a diverse range of issues including privacy considerations for a student with a disability participating in virtual or online learning, the implications of electronic listening devices on eavesdropping laws and student confidentiality rules, and notice requirements when a student’s assistive technology.
