Overview

Alyssa partners with school districts, higher education institutions, and other public and private sector clients to help them navigate a wide range of education, labor, and employment matters. She represents clients in litigation and administrative proceedings, and provides practical counsel on a range of issues, including special education concerns, wage and hour compliance, FMLA and other leave obligations, and policy development and implementation.

Alyssa earned her J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Wisconsin Journal of Law, Gender & Society. She earned Dean’s Honor List recognition and was awarded the Elizabeth L. Gracie Fellowship for her demonstrated commitment to public service. During law school, Alyssa served as a student attorney with the Wisconsin Innocence Project and externed for the Honorable William M. Conley of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin. She also gained experience through internships with the American Civil Liberties Union of Wisconsin, the Government and Financial Crimes Division of the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, and the Appellate Division of the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office.

Alyssa spent four years working at the New York headquarters of the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), where she supported organizational leadership and development initiatives, before beginning her legal career. She earned her undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies and Business from Franklin & Marshall College and was born and raised in the Philadelphia area.
