Overview

Eliza’s practice includes advising and representing clients in both the public and private sectors in a wide range of education, labor, and employment matters. In her practice, Eliza handles issues related to discrimination and harassment claims, employee discipline and dismissal, collective bargaining, policy development, student due process matters, student discipline, residency, and Title IX. Eliza has represented clients in litigation matters and in administrative proceedings before state and federal agencies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Office of Civil Rights, Office of the Attorney General, Illinois Department of Human Rights, and Illinois State Board of Education. Eliza also has experience with a variety of board governance matters, including contract review, Freedom of Information Act, and Open Meetings Act concerns. Eliza is admitted to practice law in Illinois and New York. 

Eliza is a cum laude graduate of Tulane Law School, where she earned the Samuel Lang Award in Labor Law, served as a managing editor of the Tulane Journal for International and Comparative Law, and participated in the Alternative Dispute Resolution team. Eliza graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Urban Studies. 

In her spare time, Eliza enjoys listening to live music, traveling, and spending time with her family, friends, and dog, Penny.
