The field of employee benefits has become increasingly technical and complex. Our attorneys cut through the jargon and complexity and provide real world solutions in an understandable and executable way. Our practice is deep and broad, and includes cutting-edge benefit strategies and designs, as well as day-to-day benefits counseling, including ERISA and employee benefits litigation, fiduciary compliance, health and welfare benefit plans, multi-employer plan issues, non-qualified and qualified retirement plans, plan investments, and tax exempt and governmental employer matters.
Additionally, our attorneys have experience assisting clients with due diligence matters to help uncover hidden costs related to corporate transactions. We help clients through the complex negotiation process and often assist clients in integrating employees of target entities by ensuring that all human resource processes are streamlined and advising on best practices.
We also provide counseling and strategic guidance concerning the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA). Franczek attorneys are actively involved in providing ongoing guidance concerning the obligations and regulatory requirements of PPACA, and have assisted various private and public clients with issues concerning adult dependent coverage, the Early Retiree Reimbursement Program, preventive health services, annual and lifetime limit restrictions, grandfathered health plan rules, and planning for pay-or-play mandates and Cadillac plan excise taxes. We have worked with plan sponsors and management to craft solutions in collective bargaining agreement negotiations with respect to PPACA as well.
