Student Discipline

Julie Heuberger Yura co-presents on "Student Discipline" at the Illinois State Bar Association's Education Law Jump Start: A Primer and Update for the New (and Not So New) Attorney.  Students are entitled to a level of constitutional protection when they face a disciplinary consequence for their misconduct.  This presentation explores the amount of due process that is afforded a student being suspended or expelled, as well as the required notices and the expulsion hearing format. The presenters also discuss appropriate punishment/discipline.
