Social Media Policies for School Districts

Jackie F. Wernz presents "Social Media Policies for School Districts" at TechCon: Technology and Financial Issues for the 21st Century.  Districts around the country are struggling with the issue of allowing Web 2.0 resources to be accessed by students and teachers. While the benefits are many, the areas of appropriate interactions between students and staff, as well as cybersecurity require that districts plan carefully and implement policies and procedures that address these issues. This session discusses some of these issues and resolutions that have been taken to overcome the problems that arise.
