Cicero Youth Task Force Conference

Firm attorneys Edward N. Druck, Amy Moor Gaylord, Christopher A. Johlie, Andrew A. Malahowski, William R. Pokorny and Michael I. Richardson  will be conducting an invitation only training session for the Cicero Youth Task Force Conference on January 27, 2010.  The session will provide practical advice and training to help the participants—nonprofit directors and managers—navigate state and federal labor and employment laws.  Topics will include employee discipline—hiring and firing, harassment, the Fair Labor Standards Act, benefit plans, union matters, and leave and immigration issues.

This session is part of an annual, 10-day certification program hosted jointly by the Cicero Youth Task Force and Notre Dame’s Nonprofit Executive Program.  Program topics for the certification program include strategic planning, human resources, preserving institutional knowledge, effectively nonprofit marketing, crafting organizational messages for the media, advocacy, fund development, program and institutional evaluation, and nonprofit law.  For more information click here.
