The law firm of Franczek Radelet is pleased to announce that Christopher A. Johlie has joined the firm as a partner. Since 1988, Mr. Johlie has represented public and private sector employers in a wide variety of labor and employment matters. His practice includes advice, counseling and related litigation regarding union matters and collective bargaining, employment discrimination, workplace harassment, wage and hour, child labor and personnel policy development. He has worked with employers in a wide variety of industries including health care, manufacturing, transportation, food service, construction and recreation.
“Chris has a wealth of experience in our sweet spot of management-side labor and employment law,” commented David P. Radelet, head of the firm’s labor and employment practice group. “Many of us have worked with Chris previously and are delighted to join forces with him again.”
Mr. Johlie, formerly a partner at Ford & Harrison LLP, earned his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law in 1988, and his B.A., with high distinction, from Indiana University in 1983. He is a volunteer attorney for the Chicago Volunteer Legal Services Foundation and has done pro bono work for the Cook County Public Guardian. For his efforts on behalf of sexually abused children, he is a past recipient of the Public Guardian’s Outstanding Volunteer Attorney Award.
Franczek Radelet P.C. was established in 1994 when 12 attorneys came together to form the Chicago boutique law firm. The firm, now nearly 50 attorneys, focuses exclusively on representing management in all aspects of labor and employment law and employee benefits matters in both the private and public sectors. The firm also represents educational institutions in all aspects of education law.
