"Growing Complexity of Higher Education Keeps Her Team Busy," Leading Lawyers Magazine - Women's EditionMarch 2015
Firm partner Ellen Babbitt was profiled in "Growing Complexity of Higher Education Keeps Her Team Busy," published in Leading Lawyers Magazine - Women's Edition.
The profile provides considerable insight into the evolution of Ellen’s higher education practice. Ellen, among various topics, discusses joining Franczek Radelet, “We gained colleagues who did what we did, and we also gained the ability to start practicing on a slightly larger platform.” She also discussed the complexity of higher education law, “A university is like a complex, little city. Our worlds are unique and challenging, and getting more so. This has made the job of the institutional lawyer progressively more interesting and demanding over the past 10 years.”
A number of Ellen’s peers also spoke to her abilities and lawyering style. “She has what relatively few lawyers do: an incredible ability to engender the trust and confidence of clients on multiple levels,” commented Jim Franczek. And, John Hines of Clark Hill and a law school classmate of Ellen’s said, “She is very multi-dimensional in her ability to represent clients, and she’s a nice and wonderful person to deal with, as well.”
