Franczek Radelet Welcomes First Year Associate Sunghee "Sunny" SohnOctober 14, 2013
Franczek Radelet is pleased to welcome Sunghee “Sunny” W. Sohn as an associate in the Firm’s Labor & Employment Practice Group. Sunny is the first alumnus of the Firm’s Legal Education for the Advancement of Diversity and Scholarship (LEADS) Fellowship Program which began in 2011. LEADS is an eight-week summer program for diverse first and second year law students with an interest in pursuing a legal career in private practice representing employers in labor and employment matters.
Sunny is a recent graduate of Loyola University Chicago School of Law, and will be sworn into the Bar later this month. Prior to law school, Sunny was a Vice President of Human Resources at Citi Cards, a division of CitiGroup. She earned her M.S. from New York University in global affairs concentrating in international relations and business and her B.S. in industrial and labor relations from Cornell University.
“We are excited to have Sunny back at the Firm,” said David P. Radelet, who has spearheaded the creation and development of the LEADS Fellowship Program. “As an alumnus of our first class of LEADS fellows, Sunny’s arrival demonstrates the program’s initial success. As a Firm, we are committed to the continued success of LEADS.”
While at Loyola University Chicago School of Law, Sunny was a member of the American Bar Association Employment Mock Trial Team, and a member of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association. She remains a liaison for law students and the Korean American Bar Association of Chicago. As a graduate student, Sunny worked for The Asia Society and the United Nations. While at Cornell University, she was a Cornell National Scholar and a Cornell Public Service Fellow.
