The law firm of Franczek Radelet is pleased to announce its 2012 partner promotions. Dana Fattore Crumley and Amy Moor Gaylord have been named equity partners. Associate Jennifer Smith has been named income partner, all effective January 1, 2012.
Dana represents school districts with respect to education law, with an emphasis in the areas of employment and personnel matters, special education, student discipline, and school board policy and governance. Prior to joining the firm, Dana was a public school teacher. In 2001, Dana earned her J.D. and her M.Ed. in educational leadership and policy studies from Loyola University. She earned her B.A. from Northwestern University in 1988.
Amy serves as lead negotiator in collective bargaining negotiations; represents management in labor arbitrations, unfair labor practice cases and during union organizing campaigns; and represents employers in state and federal courts, including class action and TRO/preliminary injunction proceedings. Amy earned her J.D., with honors, from the University of Illinois School of Law in 1997 and her B.A. from Cornell University’s School of Industrial & Labor Relations in 1994.
Jennifer counsels school districts and higher education institutions on student issues, revenue issues, board governance, and employment issues. She represents public school districts in all aspects of special education law, and in state and federal court litigation. Jennifer earned her J.D., with distinction, from the University of Iowa in 2003, and her B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Northern Iowa in 2000.
