Proposed Legislation Would Expand Family & Medical Leave ActAugust 2, 2011
On August 2, HRMorning.com reported on legislation recently introduced in Congress that would expand the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA). The bill, dubbed the Parental Bereavement Act, would amend the FMLA to provide leave for employees after the death of a child. The article indicated many FMLA experts, including Jeff Nowak say the Bereavement Act has a better shot of passing than some of the other bills.
