Crain’s Chicago Business Names Franczek Radelet One of the Best Places to WorkApril 6, 2011
Crain’s Chicago Business recognized the law firm of Franczek Radelet as one of the top 30 companies in Chicago on its 2011 Best Places To Work. This is the first year Franczek Radelet participated in the survey.
“We are honored and humbled by this recognition,” commented Ronald J. Hein, Jr., managing partner of the firm. “This is particularly rewarding as a law firm focused on people and the workplace.”
The 2011 Best Places to Work ranked the top 20 companies and named an additional 10 companies on its honorable mention list. The organizations named to the list included among others, Google, Microsoft, Radio Flyer, Hyatt and Deloitte. There were no law firms ranked in the top 20, and Franczek Radelet was only among the three law firms on the honorable mention list.
“It is one thing to be recognized by Crain’s, it says even more when the results of the list are driven in large part by our own attorneys and staff,” commented James C. Franczek, Jr. “We established this firm on the guiding principle that all of us are dedicated to our clients, our profession and one another. Being named to this list illustrates that 17 years later we remain committed to these principles.”
Crain’s Chicago Business conducts this annual survey with assistance from Buck Consultants, a New York employee and human resources consulting firm. Buck Consultants develops a company and employee survey. Two hundred companies applied for the survey and 125 completed both surveys resulting in more than 20,000 employees participating in the survey. The employer portion focused on quantitative issues about pay, promotions, health care and other benefits, hiring practices and more. The employee engagement portion dealt with fairness of pay, vacation time, relationships with management and co-workers, career development and other day-to-day workplace issues.
