School Board Reminder: No Need to Adopt Annual Prevailing Wage Resolution This Year

As School Boards head into the summer, we want to remind you that boards of education no longer need to adopt an annual prevailing wage resolution each June or make notice of such Board approval. As we described in a previous email alert, a recent amendment to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act shifted the responsibility for establishing the prevailing wage rate for each locality from public bodies to the Illinois Department of Labor (“IDOL”).
