Time Cover Story Features Washington, D.C. Chancellor Michelle Rhee

This week's Time magazine cover story features DC Chancellor of Education Michelle Rhee and her plans for education reform in the Nation's Capital. The story discusses the barriers Rhee faces in achieving her promise to "make Washington the highest-performing urban school district in the nation," and highlights the many changes she has already made within her first year and a half as Chancellor. The story also analyzes Rhee's emphasis on teacher quality in light of the current teacher tenure and pay systems established throughout the country.
