Washington Post Editorial Lauds Report on “Measuring Skills for the 21st Century”
November 25, 2008
Education Sector's Elina Silva recently released a report entitled "Measuring Skills for the 21st Century," which addresses the advanced skills that leaders in business, government, and higher education say are needed in today’s students. Silva's report critiques the ability of widely-used assessment tools to accurately measure "21st century skills," and the innovative strategies already in place at some schools to assess such skills. Washington Post Staff Writer Jay Mathews praises Silva's report in a recent editorial calling the report "the first sensible report on 21st century skills" he has read.
