Department of Education Issues Final NCLB Regulations

On October 29, 2008 the final regulations for the No Child Left Behind Act appeared in the Federal Register.  The regulations clarify many areas of the NCLB, including:

  • Use of National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) Data on State and District Report Cards
  • Establishment of National Technical Advisory Council
  • Measuring Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP)
  • Restructuring Schools
  • Providing Information Under the Public School Choice Provisions
  • Implementing the Supplemental Educational Services Provisions
  • Measuring Graduation Rates
