Study: Arbitration Before the American Arbitration Association
March 24, 2009
Northwestern University School of Law’s Searle Center on Law, Regulation, and Economic Growth has released a report intended to facilitate informed debate about the Arbitration Fairness Act, which would make pre-dispute arbitration clauses unenforceable in consumer and employment agreements. The report is based upon a large-scale study of consumer arbitrations administered by the American Arbitration Association. An executive summary of the study is found here. Key findings of the study are available here, and the full report is posted here.
