Federal Bailout Legislation Also Includes Benefits for Schools

Some of the lesser known provisions of the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 will benefit school districts and teachers. Below is a listing of some of the provisions that were extended through 2009:
- Teacher Expense Deduction;
- Qualified Zone Academy Bonds (QZABs);
- Enhanced Charitable Deductions for Contributions of Book Inventory to Schools;
- Qualified Computer Contributions;
- Reauthorization of the Secure Rural Schools Program.
