Bush Administration Implements Last Minute DOL Changes Regarding Union Reporting Requirements

In the final hours of the Bush administration, the Department of Labor issued new rules toughening union reporting requirements, as noted by the Los Angeles Times. Under the changes, unions will be required to publicly report virtually all compensation and expenses for officers and employees and disclose the sale and purchase of property. Unions lambasted the changes as yet another step in the Bush administration's eight-year campaign against organized labor.
