Battle in Congress deepens over Employee Free Choice Act

Business and labor groups are intensifying their battle over the Employee Free Choice Act, the Seattle Times reports. Opponents to the Act contend that its effects would be especially harmful in the current economic climate. The debate will only intensify as President-Elect Obama takes office, all sides being aware that he expressed strong support for the measure on the campaign trail.
