Stephanie B. Donovan represents
public sector employers in all aspects of labor relations
and collective bargaining matters, including the development
and implementation of personnel policies, strategic business
plans and legislative initiatives. Ms. Donovan has considerable
experience representing employers at interest arbitration
and advising clients regarding reductions-in-force, health
care plan design, pension reform and contract interpretation
issues.
Ms. Donovan graduated from The Ohio State University College
of Law, Order of the Coif, with distinction, in May 1998.
During law school, she was a managing editor of The Ohio State
Journal on Dispute Resolution, a published author and a member
of the Labor Law Moot Court Team. Ms. Donovan received her
undergraduate degree in political science from the University
of Michigan, with distinction, in May 1995.
In May 2000, Ms. Donovan joined Franczek Sullivan P.C. as
an associate. After four years with the firm, she became a
labor counsel for PepsiAmericas, Inc. and successfully negotiated
numerous collective bargaining agreements on the company's
behalf. Thereafter, Ms. Donovan was hired by the General Counsel
of the Chicago Transit Authority to serve as her chief labor
negotiator and advisor regarding labor policy matters. In
August 2006, Ms. Donovan returned to Franczek Sullivan
as counsel to the firm to assist in its representation of
the City of Chicago, Chicago Public Schools, Metropolitan
Pier and Exposition Authority, Chicago Park District and other
such clients.
