Emily Tulloch

Emily's practice includes advising and representing K-12, community college, and higher education clients on a wide range of education, labor, and employment law matters, including special education, student discipline, collective bargaining agreements, employee misconduct, teacher dismissals, and discrimination claims.

Emily represents clients in state and federal court and in administrative proceedings including tenured teacher discipline proceedings, labor arbitrations, and special education/disability hearings. She assists with a variety of board governance and business matters including policy and Freedom of Information Act and Open Meetings Act concerns. Emily is experienced in student matters including student discipline, student expulsion hearings, and special education/disability matters. She also advises clients facing complaints or administrative charges relating to harassment and discrimination, including those involving sexual harassment and violence.

Emily is a cum laude graduate of the Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where she earned a certificate in Child and Family Law and was a senior editor for the Loyola University Chicago Law Journal. She also served as president of the Education Law & Policy Society. Emily received her undergraduate degree, with honors, from Washington University in St. Louis, where she was Captain of the varsity volleyball team. While in law school, Emily interned at the Department of Education’s Office of Civil Rights and was an extern at Franczek.

In her spare time, Emily enjoys yoga, playing volleyball, and live music.
